TwosDay - Mandie - AdobeSpark

Some of the best tools for my classroom have come from my students, and Adobe Spark is another example. Adobe Spark is a web and app graphic design tool where you or your students can easily create beautiful images, videos, web pages and more. They also offer examples and ideas for using Spark in your own classroom. Visit the following websites to check it out

TwosDay - Sean - GIF Maker For Instruction

GIF’s are a pretty cool invention and can be really entertaining and funny. But, they can also be super useful to quickly illustrate a “how to” for students. Making GIFs has not necessarily been the easiest thing to do… until I stumbled across Gyazo.

TwosDay - Bob - Google Sheets to Facilitate Classroom Discussions

TwosDays - Bob - Google Sheets to Facilitate Classroom Discussions
Sheets is an often overlooked component of GSuite that can be used to facilitate simple, blog-style discussions between students in one class or even across classes. The template (link below) even allows for students to comment on previous entries. Link: https://goo.gl/MS2mDA

TwosDay - Steve - Unsplash Photos

Finding free, high-quality images for your (or your students’) Google Slides presentations can be a hassle.  Many of us resort to a quick Google image search, but do you realize you might be committing copyright infringement if you don’t cite your source?  Through the use of the Unsplash Photos add-on in Google Slides, you can quickly search through a vast array of high-quality, copyright-free images to enhance your presentation!

TwsDay - Shona - Video Ad Blocking

If you are tired of being hit with advertisements while showing videos to your class, these extensions are for you! YouTube Ad Blocker is great because it proactively stops ads from popping up during viewing, and Turn Out The Lights allows the viewer to essentially ‘turn out the lights’ on any part of the screen that is not the video.  Here are other great TwosDay videos that showcase best practices for viewing/cropping videos:

TwosDay - Mandie - Flipster

Monica joins us from the LMC with an online tool you and your students will “flip” over. Flipster is an online platform for students and staff to read magazines. Currently, VHHS has 5 titles that offer simultaneous access to nearly unlimited users. Consider reading an article together in class, asking your students to find an Article of the Month, or just encourage reading for pleasure.
